Mr. David Wilhoit

Administrator and Fifth Through Eighth Grade Mathematics and Science

Hello, I am a native of Campbell County and teach Math and Science at CACC for grades 5-8.  I received a Bachelor's degree in Mathmatics and Science education with a concentration in Secondary Education in 1987 from Lincoln Memorial University.  I was employed for 23 years at LMU as the Director of the Upward Bound Program.  I have taught mathematics at J. Frank White Academy and Lincoln Memorial University.  I earned my Master's Degree in Administration and Supervision in 1994 and went on to receive my Ed.S degree in Administration and Supervision in 2001.

I am active at my church, Trinity Baptist Church in Middlesboro, KY where I serve as a deacon, treasurer, choir member and youth director.  My wife Julie and I have three children, Hannah age 16, Hunter age 8, and Colton age 18 months.  In my community I serve as Chair of the Board of Directors at Cooperative Christian Ministry and treasurer of the ARH Credit Union Board of Directors.

I came to CACC in 2012 and love teaching students math (from basic math through algebra 1)  and science (Life, Physical and Earth) as well as Bible to students who are eager to learn.  I enjoy teaching students individually and collectively.

I  believe the Christian atmosphere at the Academy is an excellent place to teach and gives teachers the opportunity to work with students on an individual basis.

Nancy Frye

Kindergarten and First Grade

Hi, I'm Nancy. My husband John and I live with our adult daughter Allison in Jacksboro.  I am a member of Jacksboro United Methodist Church.  My family and I have lived in Campbell County since 1990.  I obtained my teaching certification and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tennessee.

I began substituting at the Christian Academy the year it relocated to its present site.  A kindergarten teaching vacancy became available the following year and I have  taught at CACC ever since.  I have also on occassion taught Spanish and Art here at CACC.

Teaching kindergarten is my calling.  I still cry when my students read their first sentence!  I have been blessed to see many students gain a solid foundation in Biblical teaching and academics and take their place in society as young adults.  I thank God for allowing me to be a faculty member at the Christian Academy of Campbell County!

Ollie Medley

I began teaching at CACC in 1993 and believe strongly in Christian education.  I believe in the scripture found in Proverbs 22:6, and it is my desire that students grow in wisdom, knowledge and truth not only while attending CACC but also throughout their lives. I am a member of First Baptist Church of LaFollette.

Allen Greenwood

Fifth Through Eighth Grade History

My name is Allen Greenwood, and I am very thankful to be one of the middle school teachers at the Christian Academy of Campbell County; here, I teach Bible studies, history, and spelling.  I hold a Master's degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary with a specific focus on Christian education.  I am also a graduate from Lincoln Memorial University where I earned my Bachelor's of Art degree in Art with a music minor.

I am a native of Campbell County, and reside in Jacksboro with my wife, Lisa, our daughter, Alyssa, and our cat, Hobbes.  We are active church members in several ministries at Mount Paran Baptist Church.  My hobbies include illustration and graphic design, toy collecting, comic books, television and movies, and playing drums.

I want to do everything that I can with my life to point people towards Christ, and I have a passion to teach the many truths and wonders of God's word.  1 Corinthians 10: 31 tells us, “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”  I want my students to see that we have a mission to be a light into our community here as well as being steadfast in God's Word in order to be ambassador's of Christ to our whole world.
