Class of 2007

I attended CACC from Pre-K until I graduated 8th grade in 2007.  I am truly grateful for my time and memories at CACC.  I feel as if I gained more than just a quality education and knowledge about the Bible. I believe that my time there helped form who I am today.

The teachers at CACC not only love their jobs, but love their students as well.  Each teacher had his or her own technique to make learning fun and enjoyable for everyone.  Not to mention, the individual attention we were offered to help us better comprehend our classwork.  I feel this is the reason why I was ahead of my classmates when I began high school.

As a student of CACC I was taught proper manners, discipline and learned to always be respectful.  Also, the environment and curriculum provided by CACC helped me establish an everlasting relationship with Jesus Christ.

Now as a student in college, I am so thankful my parents sent me to CACC.  It was a wonderful experience and I look back on my many memories from that time and I can't help but smile and think about how blessed I was then and still am today.

I was blessed in having the opportunity to attend the CACC for the beginning of my education.  When I was in my first years at the Academy, the teaching staff would aim not only to perfect our academic knowledge but also our creative and spiritual being.  The Academy stated my education not by cramming a bunch of facts into my head but by making learning a fun experience, one that I have had a passion for ever since.

Education for middle school students at the Academy is rigorous and challenging yet inspiring.  In these years we learned the history of our nation, the poetry of Wordsworth, the complications of the sciences, and we were challenged with mathematics.  We were also taught the importance of leading a Christ-centered life.

The CACC leads a chapel service every Wednesday morning where the entire school comes together to worship God, read His Word, fellowship with each other and simply praise the Lord.  This type of ministry with fun sing-alongs, prayer and different guest speakers make up some of my fondest memories at the Academy.  These meetings along with the daily Bible lessons in my classes prepared me not only to be a Christian but a devoted servant to the Lord.  It was also within these years that I realized how blessed I was to have the opportunities I was given.  This set me on a path of wanting to do my best at everything I tried and to achieve as much as possible.

In my last few years of education at the CACC my academics became very challenging, especially in mathematics and English.  However, the abundance of attention from my teachers during class, recess and after school helped me to achieve honor roll and leave the CACC feeling ready and confident to take on my next challenges.  I attended high school at J. Frank White Academy, where my education and love of learning from the CACC would ultimately help me to become the Class of 2010 Valedictorian.

The next step in my educational career was Sewanee:  The University of the South where persistence and techniques I orginally learned at CACC have enabled me to become not only a graduating senior but also a four year college athelete.  My time at CACC was not only spent in the classroom but also on the basketball court.  The support of my family, coaches, and my CACC family fostered a love for the game of basketball that still persists 14 years later.

The CACC gave me the complete package: an education that set me up for success throughout my life, a strong faith in God that has helped me endure challenges and friends who have travelled with me through hard times, good times and long distances.  Having the opportunity to attend CACC and to be educated by its staff in academics and the Word of God are two of the greatest blessings I am thankful for today.

I am proud of my education at the CACC.  I was fully prepared for high school and the life ahead of me.  The bonds of friendship I made at  CACC have lasted throughout my life and have proved to be valuable and strong throughout the years.  The one-on-one instruction and comfortable environment was very rewarding and memorable.  I'll never forget the family-like atmosphere and the dedication of my teachers and coaches.  I am blessed to have taken part in the legacy of this school.
